Planning Workshops

Planning workshops have a couple of common characteristics:

• The workshops are short due to the nature of the work and the thinking required


• Participants are usually senior people in an oranisation and have limited tiome to spare


• The workshops require the decison or policy makers to be present


• The workshops require extensive preparation and interviews that focus on the people

Planning sessions are interesting and require appropriate time to deliver:

Product, Service and project Planning can be accomplished in a 2-3 day workshop

Strategic planning is most effective if split into a one full day workshop and two subsequent half day workshops at two week intervals. The last half day session should be revised regularly until the plan is complete.
